I disagree with your choice of monopoly (and no I am not an Apple fan-boy ;) It is not a monopoly because other companies make cell phones. There are even "smart" phones similar to the iPhone. I might even argue there are a few Droid phones that are better. Making a specific type of product doesn't make it a monopoly. Making the only product of its kind could be.
